HKUST-1은 Cu²⁺ ions과 benzene-1,3,5-tricarboxylate(BTC) 리간드가 배위 결합하여 형성된 구리 기반 MOF(금속-유기 골격체)입니다. 이 소재는 넓은 표면적과 금속 활성 사이트를 갖는 것으로 잘 알려져 있으며, 이러한 구조적 특성 덕분에 소형 가스 분자에 대해 매우 높은 흡착 용량을 보입니다. 일반적으로 파란색 결정성 분말 형태로 나타납니다.
